I Love This Game!

I belong to a service called Gamefly. It's just like Netflix only you get video games for your gaming consoles. I have a Playstation 2. I got this one game called The Sims 2 Castaway and it is so great. I'm going to buy it I love it so much. This game is so much fun.

Have you ever wondered what it would be like to be stranded on a desert island? Now you can find out. After you create a crew of anywhere between one and six crew members, the game begins. Watch as your crew start out on their little boat called Simplicity. They party and dance and then watch as a violent storm comes up and washes them all overboard.

Your main character waakes up on a small island and now you have to begin the process of surviving. You have to harvest food, build shelters, and find and reunite the rest of your crew. Then, you have to try and find a way back to civilization. This game is so much fun. It's hours and hours of gameplay. There are goals you can meet which will aid you in your quest to get back to civilization, or you can play the game open ended and just build a life for your sims as castaways forever.

The Sims 2 Castaway is great. I highly recommend this game. The graphics are stunning and the concept itself is amazing. This is a fantastic game and loads of fun. If you like video games, this is a great one to play.

Marc's Story

The long awaited release of Marc Garen's story, Threads Of Destiny is here. I know I have said it before but I totally love NJ Walters Tapestries series. This series is the best! And Marc's story is a phenomonal addition to it.

Marc Garen knows the laws of his land. Women are scarce so brothers must compete to win a woman. Only one man can become her husband and legally claim the children she has, but the other brother retains the right to share her bed once a week. The magical tapestry brought Christina to him and his brother. She chose his brother and even though he's allowed to be with her, he is lonely down to the depths of his soul.

Kathryn is a scientist from the future fighting to save two genetically enhanced warriors from termination. The tapestry sweeps all of them up and away from danger and drops them off in Javara at Castle Garen. Now three men share her bed, but Marc is determined to make her his alone. He only has three days to convince her to stay before the tapestry returns and gives her the option of going home.

I loved this. And in many ways I was able to put myself into the story. Except for the scientist part, the heroine could be me. My name is Kathryn and it's spelled just the way the author spells it. I'm a speed reader just as the heroine is. I was last clocked at 480 words per minute and yes I comprehend everything I read. Just like the heroine, I have a photographic memory. I remember everything I see. So it was if I really was in the story and Marc is so yummy. All I can say is meyowwww!

Threads Of Destiny by NJ Walters is out now and available from Ellora's Cave. NJ Walters is truly one of THE best authors out there. And her Tapestries series is just amazing. This book is so heartwarming. I truly can't tell you enough just how great it is. Go and read it for yourself. You won't regret it.

A Great New Paranormal Voice!

I just read a wonderful book. It's the start of a brand new paranormal romance series by Lisa Hendrix. It's called Immortal Warrior. It's about a group of nine viking men who went on a raid to steal treasure. But the treasure they sought was protected by more than just an army. It was protected by a powerful sorceress. When the leader killed her son in combat, she cursed all the men to live forever. But that was not all. Taking their totems from around their necks, she further cursed them to spend half the day in the form of their totem animal and the other half as men. And so the years passed.

Ivo, one of the men cursed becomes an eagle during the day. For service to the King William the second, he is given land and the hand of a beautiful, firey maid named Alaida. Ivo falls hard for his wife but struggles to keep her from finding out his secret. Then, one of his friends and fellow cursemates has a vision which suggests his curse might pass on to his children. Ivo is forced to stay away from his wife's bed. But it's too late. Now Ivo and his friends must race for an answer before Christian England drags his wife and child off to be burned as demons.

I can't tell you how much I loved this book. It was fantastic. Immortal Warrior is book one in this brand new series. Book two, Immortal Outlaw will be out June 02, 2009 and is available for pre-order from Amazon. It's Not Fair

I have been waiting seven years for Murder Game by Christine Feehan. It's part of her Ghostwalker series and stars Kadan, a character I have been waiting to get his own story. My copy arrived in the mail today. And I am NOT up to reading it! It's not fair.

I have the flu. And yes, before you ask I did get the flu shot. It didn't do me any good. I'm feeling so lousy, especially in the head that I wouldn't be able to focus on a book. This sucks big time. I've been so eager for this one and now I have to wait. Oh well. At least it's here for when I am feeling better. I can read it then.

Goddess of the Written Word!

Happy New Year everyone! Do you like the new look? I felt I needed a fresh look to celebrate the new year. I hope 2009 is a great year for everyone. Now, I mentioned that I had something special planned for my blog starting January 1st. And here it is: the 12 Gods and Goddesses of writing.

Once a month, on the 1st, I will focus on a particular author who's stories are absolutely amazing. As you can tell by the title, January is going to a female writer. January is dedicated to: NJ WALTERS!

NJ Walters is one of my all-time favorite authors. Her stories are so alive and vivid, they transport your mind and soul to other worlds. My most favorite of her writings is her Tapestry series. It was what I first read of her work and has held me enthralled ever since. Her Dalakis Passion series is a fantastic vampire series. And I happen to love vampire tales.

Her single title, Amethyst Moon, is spectacular. It takes place first in Egypt, and then on another world. NJ has a lot of other books and series as well as the start of a new series from Ellora's Cave. The next book in the Tapestry series, Threads Of Destiny which is the long awaited tale of Marc Garen, will be out the middle of this month. I'm really looking forward to that.

So, NJ Walters is January's Goddess Of The Written Word! If you want to check out any of the amazing books she has written, click on the link I have up for her website or visit her blog at http://www.njwalters.blogspot.com/ for the latest on what she's up to. Her stories are so worth it!
