Busy Busy Busy!

I wrote two chapters today on my WIP. I was so in the zone. Now I just have two more chapters and epilogue to write and then my first book since I got really sick will be done. I'm so excited and already eager to dive into my next project afterward. I'm so happy to be writing again. It's been a long road. So I'm really sorry Carrie. I know you are knee deep in edits for all your authors, but I'm about to add another MS to your pile.:-)

Audio Book Of A Friend!

One of my dearest friends and my inspiration to write is about to have a real milestone. N.J. Walters, who has many wonder stories under her belt is about to have her very first audio book release of her wonder quickie, Tempting Tori. On May 10th, Tempting Tori will release in audio form from Ellora's Cave. I am so totally thrilled for her. Anyone who follows my blog knows I am a huge fan of her Tapestries series, but everything she writes is just amazing. She's my writing Goddess! I just love her. And she's the nicest person in the world too. Also, tomorrow the 30th of April, her contribution to the Hearts Of Fire series from Ellora's Cave will release called Seeking Charlotte. I have been eagerly waiting for this one.

So N.J. I have to say congrats on
your release tomorrow and a major congrats on your very first audio release. You are fantastic. If you'd like to know more about any of N.J.'s books, go here to visit her website. And now, here's a blurb for Tempting Tori. I swiped it off N.J.'s blog.:-)

Standing in the barn, looking out over his ranch, J.T. Courage knows there is nowhere else on earth he’d rather be. He has his brothers, a successful horse business and a new home on the land that’s belonged to his family for generations. The only thing missing is someone to share it all with. And he has just the woman in mind.

Victoria Abrams is leaving the man she loves. She can no longer pretend he will one day see her as more than a friend or housekeeper. But J.T. is not about to let the sexy woman who has tempted him for months with her lush body and beautiful face slip away without a fight.

Season 3 Poster!

Anyone who knows me knows I am a total True Blood fan. Ergo, I have to share this hot new poster that promo's season 3. I can't wait for June 13th when season 3 starts on HBO. I got cable just so I could watch True Blood. I love the character of Eric and Alexander Skarsgard is uber hot. But, if you notice the people in the poster, Pam is looking really good too and so is the character of Jessica.

If season 3 follows the heart of book 3 by Charlaine Harris, this season marks the end of the romance of Bill and Sookie. Season four, which will be based on book four is the one we are all dying to see. Eric and Sookie get hot and heavy together! But in the meantime, check out the awesome promo poster.:-)

Writing!

It's taken awhile. Almost five months to be exact, but today I wrote for the first time on my WIP. I am so thrilled to be back into writing. If I do a chapter a day I can have this baby done by the end of the week. Now I know what you're thinking...I had writer's block. Nope that wasn't it. I knew from the start where I wanted this story to go. No what happened is I got sick, big time sick. Actually I still am but am able to sit and write for longer periods than I could.

Let me explain. In December I started get sinus infections that just wouldn't clear up. One would go only to be followed quickly by another. Then, in early March my mom got sick with this flu bug. I got it the very next day. That triggered a whole mess of problems. It caused a very large kidney stone to shift. Mind you I had no idea until then I had stones. But the pain was excruciating. I went to the hospital and had to have emergency surgery.

This led to the discovery of a tumor on my parathyroid. The parathyroid is a gland that controls your levels of calcium and phosphorous in the body. The tumor is causing it to be overactive creating too much calcium and phosphorous which is creating stones. I can't get in to see an endocrinologist to deal with the problem until July so until then kidney stones are a problem. Luckily, the tumor is benign and the problems should go away once they remove the gland. In the meantime that means cutting out all dairy products and let me tell you, giving up chocolate is painful.

But, for the first time today I felt good enough to sit at my computer and write. I wanted to dance I was so happy. I have missed not being able to write. I love writing and being away from it for so long was torture. So Yeah!!!!

Battle Of The Books

All this week I am competing on my dear friend Kristy Bock's Battle Of The Books contest. It's a weekly contest that pits two books against each other. I'm up against my friend and fellow RRP author Franny Armstrong. If you go to Kristy's site, you can vote. We are being judged on book covers, blurbs, book trailers and excerpts. Also make sure you leave a comment. One lucky comment will win a cool prize.

My book that's up for consideration is Voice In The Night, an Autumn Rose tale of love between an older woman and a younger man. It's my debut novel from Red Rose.

Franny's book that's up is called Tropical Balm. It's another great RRP book.

But make your vote count because you can only vote once. Head over to Kristy's Literary Goddess Blog and vote. Whichever one of us wins, we both appreciate your support.

New Cover!

Working Under Covers, book 1 in my brand new Gods At Work series has a cover and it's dynomite! Missy Lyons did a sensational job. I love this cover it's just so stunning. Thank you a gazillion times over Missy. I am floating on air. Click on the picture to see it full sized. You don't want to miss this one.

As soon as I have the specific release date I'll let you know but for now enjoy my brand new cover. I love the look of this with Aphrodite in her Greek clothes but brought into the modern city where she works. And the picture of the guy perfectly fits my mental image of Jordan the hero. I love it!

Coming Very Soon!

Okay I just talked to my editor who dropped a bombshell on me. Book one in my brand new Gods At Work series titled Working Under Covers has had its release date bumped up. It's going to release as soon as the cover is done which could be any day now. Missy Lyons is working on it. Which means it could release as soon as next week. As soon as I have the actual date I'll let you know. Also, book two in the series, Heart Of The Queen will be released very soon after it in June. But to celebrate my upcoming release I'm hosting a contest on my website. Go to Kat's Corner and click on the contests page. To whet your appetite here is a blurb about Working Under Covers:

The economic crunch is affecting everyone nowadays, even the Gods of Mt. Olympus. Tributes are way down and Zeus isn't happy. He decrees that each and every god must go out into the mortal realm and get jobs.

Aphrodite, Goddess of Love and Beauty decides to set up shop in Los Angeles, California. She opens her own Internet Dating service called Venus Connections and hides her true identity by taking on the name Ariel Schell.

Jordan Cade, retired cop turned private investigator is roped by his former boss into tackling one last undercover assignment. Three women have gone missing and the only thing that links them is an Internet dating service called Venus Connections.

All Jordan wants is to find the missing women. All Aphrodite wants is to earn a living. But the Fates have other plans. Now a mortal man and an immortal Goddess must overcome their vast differences. A little under the covers work might be needed.

Again this is coming as soon as it has a cover so make sure you keep checking back. I'll post the cover as soon as I have it in my greedy little hands.:-)
