She's Completely Amazing!

I know I have mentioned what an amazing author NJ Walters is, but she's also a really great person. It was a little while ago that she did this, but I think it's worth telling people about, even if it's a bit late on my part. This is another reason, on top of her fantastic stories, that NJ has become one of my favorite authors. Not many people would do for someone what she did for me.

I had emailed her to ask if I could get her to autograph a book for me. She's an e-author, meaning she writes e-books. But, her first two Tapestry stories had been released as a regular book and I wanted to get her to sign it. She pointed out that she lives in Canada and it would be cost prohibitive for me to send the book to her. So guess what she did? She autographed a whole stack of bookmarks that had the covers of her various e-books on them and sent them to me.

As if that weren't great enough, she sent them to me without asking me for an SASE. How many authors do you know who'd do that just because you asked them for an autograph? Nine times out of ten, you'd have to pay to get an autographed anything. But NJ sent me the bookmarks and even a handwritten letter all for free. I was so over the moon and I still am. I keep my signed bookmarks in a little metal lock box. Whether they have tassels or not, and these don't have tassels, my cats like to knock my bookmarks around and I end up losing them to the netherworld. I never want to lose these so I keep them where my cats can't get them.

NJ Walters is a fantastic author. You all know I'm a huge fan of her Tapestry series. But, she is also one of the kindest people I have ever had the fortune to correspond with. She's just an amazing person.

Never Done This Before!

I've never done this before on my blog, but this book trailer is just too great for me not to. Plus, I'm now really looking forward to this book. I was browsing through Circle Of Seven's website. They make book trailers for a lot of authors including Christine Feehan. I came across this trailer they have done for Christina Dodd for a book coming out this August called Storm Visions. It's sensational.

The basis for this story is twins, a boy and a girl abandoned at birth and left to die. The boy can create fire in the palm of his hands. He brings together a group of people just like him. Powerful, strong and dedicated to fighting evil. The girl is a seer who makes a pact with the devil. She too gathers others like her. But their purpose is to spread evil and chaos. And so the battle between brother and sister, good and evil begins.

Storm Visions comes out this August, but if you'd like to watch the trailer the url is http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=pqn0ADgE3Cs and is spectacular. This series looks amazing.

The Immortal Hunter!

I just finished Lynsay Sands' new book the other night and it was fantastic. The Immortal Hunter stars Decker Argeneau Pimms, the son of Martine. It takes up a day after where the last book, The Rogue Hunter, ended. And this time, the story is much darker.

Decker's on the trail of a really nasty bad guy, and I mean really nasty. He ends up saving a young woman named Dani who turns out to be his lifemate. But she's not making it easy. She doesn't trust Decker or his friends and only stays because her younger sister is still in the clutches of the bad vamp.

The Immortal Hunter reveals some not known secrets about the Argeneau family tree and introduces us to an Argeneau who hasn't been talked about in a long time. Nicholas Argeneau is the black sheep of the family, a member who went rogue. He'll also be the main character in the next book coming out in September. The Immortal Hunter also starts to go into the original experiments that led to the creation of the immortals in the first place, and what happened to those first few unsuccessful attempts at nanotechnology.

The Immortal Hunter is sensational. A lot of our favorites from the previous books show up and even a couple new characters. The Immortal Hunter by Lynsay Sands is out now and is totally worth reading. The story is darker as many of the books that reveal family secrets are, but it's still full of Lynsay's traditional sense of humor. The Immortal Hunter is an amazing read.

April's Goddess Of Writing!

Happy April all. It's officially Spring and the peach blossoms are blooming. It's also the first and time for this month's Goddess of the Written Word. With her first Leopard series release in years at the end of this month, it seems only right that this month the honor goes to Christine Feehan.

I love all her series. Her Carpathians, her Ghostwalkers, her Drake Sisters, and her Leopard series so I am totally psyched about Burning Wild which comes out at the end of April. It's the first leopard book in I don't even know how many years. It will also mark story three in the series.

On December 31st, this year's Ghostwalker story came out called Murder Game and I totally loved it. Christine Feehan writes with such power and you genuinely end up caring about the characters. Plus, Murder Game was about a character that had interested me since the beginning, Kadan. And Tansy was a phenomonal talent. It seems with each book, the females' talents get stronger and stronger.

This summer, book seven in the Drake Sister's series comes out. Based on Christine's website, I am not sure if the series will continue, but this is about the final and youngest sister Elle who is destined to bear the next generation of seven daughters. I have to admit though that Hannah's story and Joley's story are my favorites.

This fall comes the next Carpathian book and it looks so cool and is called Dark Slayer. It's about two really intriguing characters, Razvan whom everyone believes to be evil and hates, and Ivory Malinov, the sister of the Malinov brothers whom all Carpathians believe had been murdered by Mikhail's brother and caused the five Malinov brothers to turn vampire.

Christine Feehan's talent is sensational and therefore she is April's Goddess of the Written Word. If you'd like to check her out, click on the link I have up for her website. She has up on main page the teaser for Burning Wild and will no doubt have the full trailer up soon. The full trailer for Murder Game is still up on the main page as well.. Burning Wild comes out at the end of this month.
